Meet Coach Amy

Originally from Phoenix, AZ, I’ve lived and worked in Boulder for over 10 years. I’ve worked as a trainer in physical therapy clinics for 3 years, helping people recover from injuries and/or understand how to use their bodies safely.

Despite having nearly two decades of experience in multiple sports, I wasn’t always an athlete. I started playing soccer after I left high school. I have also always been hypermobile, which was not addressed until only a few years ago. This means that I know my way around injuries and recovering from them! Sadly my injury inventory is 4.5 pages long, single spaced, along with 9 injury-related surgeries. I’ve leveraged this into a deep understanding of the stages of recovery, training, and return to activities.

Sports/activities that I have direct experience in:

  • Soccer

  • Rock climbing (bouldering & sport climbing)

  • Trail Running/Hiking

  • Sweep rowing

  • Kayaking (flat water)

  • Road Cycling & Mountain Biking

Whether you are a former athlete, new to the gym, hypermobile, or looking to try a new sport, let’s get you feeling like your strongest self.

  • Cross Country Skiing

  • Volleyball

  • Swim

  • Backpacking

  • Yoga

  • Salsa dancing

Certifications

  • NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist

  • Health & Wellness Coach, Certified through Emory University

  • Functional Movement Screening, Levels 1 & 2

  • RockTape Kineosio-Tape Certified

  • Orthopedic Cupping Certified

  • Trauma and Violence Informed Care Certified

  • Nutrition Coach (in progress)

*I am not a physical therapist, and I do not create therapeutic treatment plans. While I am certified in Orthopedic cupping, this does not replace care under a licensed physical therapist.
